Neighborhood Girl Makes Public Profession of Faith

This weekend marked a milestone for TI2Ts, not only did several kids get picked up for church in our new van but several of them made it out to the beach for The Seacoast Beach Baptism! Among them was a girl whom I have become very close with. Since we are looking in particular for kids we would specifically like to mentor in or new mentor program coming up I thought I would invest sometime with this girl Sunday after church. Since one of our TI2Ts volunteers was getting baptized, I asked her if she would like to come along. On the way to the beach another volunteer and I explained to her what it meant to get baptized. As soon as we got there, when she saw all the people lined up she said to me, "I want to get baptized." I explained to her that if she wanted to get in the water that was fine but being baptized is something serious, and that it showed a commitment to Christ. I told her about the sinners prayer and asked her if she had ever said it and she said never. Then I asked if she would like to do that and she said yes! Praise Jesus! So we ran down to the beach and she was baptized. Just like that there was a new sister
in the Kingdom. That's what it is all about guys. That is why we do Take It To The Streets. These kids are not only finding hope for their lives but they are finding hope in Jesus Christ!

Supernatural Spiritual Supernova Moment!

I am so excited about sharing this story with all of you! It all started on Sunday 9/13/2009 as we were coming back (in the Van) from the Dream Center with the kids. We had a great day of worship and the kids were being very well behaved, I think they were excited about the van. The was the first time we could all ride together to church all twenty of us! As we were getting ready to drop of the children some of them had over heard that one of the volunteers were going to get baptised today. They were very interested in the since it was at the “Beach”. At that time I wasn’t sure if it was the Beach, the Volunteers or God they were most interested in. We had decided that we could take the bigger kids since they had traveled before with us, but we were apprehensive about the smaller children. I could see that the kids were disappointed however we had to way the cost/risk exc. When all the volunteers got out of the van we had a great prayer about asking God to take residence in our children's lives and to ransom them from there surroundings (Jesus is the only answer). As I was going back to the house to get my bathing suit I felt the Holy Spirt say go back, go back, go back. So I grabbed my suit and in 30 seconds I was back in the car heading to talk to the parents. I was nervous about taking the children to a public place, dealing with the water hazard and being without all the volunteers to watch and protect the children. I explained to the parents what we were doing and where we were going, and all the risks involved, they all gave it the ok. At that time I gathered up all the kids and explained what we were doing and were we were going “this is not a play day at the beach it is witnessing a mountain top spiritual moment in a Christan's life”. I lay ed out the rules regarding staying close to one another along with all the potential dangers and they all agreed they wanted to come. So we piled all up in the car and headed to the beach. Not to soon after we pulled on to the street I felt the Holy Spirt telling me to tell the story. So for thirty minutes five children in the car listen as I told the story of how, why, when and why Jesus was baptised. This was amazing do to the fact that we were all crammed in the car and they were all so attentive (they were really interested in the story). The kids asked many questions, and I truly felt that something HUGE was going to happen. While in the car the children broke out into song, signing in unison it was a beautiful moment as we topped the IOP bridge (I don’t think they had ever been here before). We parked at the IOP dock and began to walk up and meet with all the Seacoasters waiting to get baptised. As we were checking in the children we very interested and blow away so many people were here. I asked them if they wanted to get baptised and I got three instant “Yes’es”, WOW! So we signed the kids in and got them there baptism shirts and we were ready to go. The kids introduced themselves to a crowd of over two hundred people on the microphone (I was very proud). We all walked hand and hand to the beach and to the edge of the water we were first in line. This was a Supernatural Spiritual Supernova Moment for me, it is hard to describe. At that moment I felt so close to God and under my breath all I could do is sign the Revelation song over and over again. Thank you Jesus to be able to see there face as they came out of the water only 3 hours ago praying the he would protect and love his children, incredible!

(Chorus)
Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come
With all creation I sing:
Praise to the King of Kings!
You are my everything,
And I will adore You…!
Yeah!

Filled with wonder,
Awestruck wonder
At the mention of Your Name
Jesus, Your Name is Power
Breath, and Living Water
Such a marvelous mystery
Yeah...

With Christ Love
